Our expertise covers needs assessment, developing and delivering targeted training and capacity enhancement programmes for various stakeholders, including frontline workers, health functionaries, hospital administrators & managers, CSOs, CBOs and community members. EHII focuses on areas such as Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC) Service Delivery, Clinical Services in Hospitals, Social and Behaviour Change Communication, Health Systems Strengthening (HSS), Quality Management (QM), Bio-Medical Waste Management (BMWM), Financial Management, Procurement and Logistics Management.
Over the years, EHII has worked extensively with UNICEF, UNDP, WHO, World Bank, European Commission, DfID, KfW, GIZ, government institutions, and other development partners to conceptualise and identify capacity gaps in systems, develop plans to address these gaps and support the implementation of capacity development plans for public health, hospitals and social development initiatives across India and internationally.

EHI designs and conducts Capacity Needs Assessment and Learning Needs Assessment studies tailored for various levels of functionaries and organisational levels to identify gaps in knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to their designated roles.

We develop detailed training strategies, curricula, and bilingual learning materials, including modules, handbooks, and resource packs, customised to address identified needs and target audience specifics.

Conduct Training of Trainers (ToT), capacity development workshops and direct onsite and whole site training sessions for programme managers, administrators, medical professionals, health functionaries, peer educators, community mobilizers, and stakeholders, utilising participatory and experiential methodologies.

We specialise in building capacities for health systems management, workforce management, quality improvement (e.g., NQAS, ISO, NABH), and implementing Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) interventions using appropriate methods mix.

EHII assists in developing systems for standardised service delivery, reporting, and monitoring and handholds the establishment of these updated systems within the client organisation using multiple methods including use of digital learning platforms, continuing learning support systems, concurrent impact assessment of the capacity development interventions and incorporating frameworks like PENTA-CD and ART for effective training, capacity assessment and enhancement.
