Uttar Pradesh: District Level Facility Survey being conducted by EHI

 

International Institute of Population Sciences (IIPS) on behalf of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) is coordinating a heath facility survey across the country. EHI International is conducting the facility survey in Uttar Pradesh. The main objective of the survey is to evaluate the Sub Centers (SC), Primary Health Centers (PHC),Community Health Centres (CHC), Sub Divisional Hospital (SDH) District Hospitals (DH). All the districts of Uttar Pradesh are being covered under the survey and a  total of 4200 facilities are being surveyed.

 

The survey is essentially collecting information about human resources available, physical infrastructure and services provided at Sub Centre, PHC, CHC, Sub Divisional Hospital and District Hospital. All CHCs, Sub Divisional Hospitals and District Hospitals are being covered in facility survey. For identification of these facilities the Chief Medical Officer’s office is being approached, and a list is being obtained and a verification is being done from the Sarpanch.

 

 

The survey is expected to provide information on the availability of manpower, supply of critical materials/inputs under RCH project and availability & utilization of services at Sub Centre, Primary Health Centre (PHC), Community Health Centre (CHC), Sub Divisional Hospital (SDH) and District Hospital (DH) level.
