The third round of data collection in the three states namely Madhya Pradesh, Uttrakhand and Uttar Pradesh covering around 7,80,000 households has been successfully completed.

The data has been collected from the same households which were covered during the first and the second round. The idea behind collecting the data from the same households is to map the change in indicators like Crude Birth Rate (CBR), Crude Death Rate (CDR), Infant Mortality Rate (IMR), Total Fertility Rate (TFR), Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR), Sex Ratio at Birth & host of other indicators on maternal & child care, family planning practices.

The data is being analyzed and thereafter recommendations will be made which will feed into making relevant policies and recommendations by the government under the wide umbrella of National Rural Health Mission.
