  • Chartered Accountant/ ICWA/ MBA (Finance) (CA/ ICWA preferred)


  • 10 years’ experience in designing and managing financial management system
  • Experience and knowledge of working in externally funded projects, e.g. World bank/ Govt. Sector


  • Working Level Fluency in Local Language
  • Knowledge of Local Culture or administrative system, government organisation etc.
  • Conversant and accustomed of using computerised accounting system

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Financial Management system of the project and establish sound accounting practice and system to manage resource available to the project
  • Prepare PMU’s financial report
  • Support dealing with all financial management issues as per norms and guidelines of Govt. Meghalaya and World Bank
  • Assist MHSSP in carrying out monthly and quarterly monitoring of budget and vis-à-vis actual
  • Analyse variance and undertake corrective actions
  • Drafting documents/ correspondence/ reports on financial issues
  • Verify monthly expenditure statements and financial records
  • Review internal control contract terms/ conditions followed in processing payments
  • Support in Compliance to statutory requirements and tax  laws
  • Support in preparation project progress reports and financial reports
  • Consolidate individual expenditure statement/ financial report
  • Timely and effective resolution of audit observations
